“This course should be delivered to all supervisors and managers…could easily be a two-day course.”

KBT has recently begun a rollout of two of our training programs across Compass Group in Western Australia. Compass Group manages hospitality and accommodation operations across many Western Australian mine sites and has made Indigenous employment a central part of its diversity program.

Compass Group is deploying KBT’s Teamwork and Communication program for new Indigenous employees, as an introduction to business culture and communication. Compass is also delivering KBT’s Working with Indigenous Employees program for supervisors and managers who have Indigenous employees in their teams.

Compass’s approach to Indigenous employment has produced some excellent results with a number of its sites having Indigenous employee numbers above 15% and some in excess of 20%. You can read more about Compass’s Indigenous Employment Strategy here:

Compass’s focused approach to Indigenous employment is also reflected in the enthusiastic responses of its employees to Keogh Bay’s programs. Some programs have returned 100% Excellent ratings from all participants on all criteria. The chart below summarises participant responses to initial Working with Indigenous Employees programs.

Some of the comments made by Compass employees include:

“This program does not need any improvement!”
“Awesome stories and a nice way to explain everything”
“Great training, absolutely enjoyed it.”
“This course should be delivered to all supervisors and managers…could easily be a two-day course.”
